In October of 2000 Dr. Timothy E. Dineen, a local radiologist, believed the people of Madison County were in need of a permanent Open MRI location. At that time there were two mobile MRI units coming into the county a few days per month. Both of these mobile units were closed MRI units.

In April 2001 Richmond Open MRI was opened offering Open MRI and X-Ray exams. Subsequently, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, Computed Tomography (CT or CAT) and DEXA (Bone Density) were added to the list of services offered by Richmond Open MRI.

Richmond Open MRI is still the only Open MRI offered in Madison County.

Richmond Open MRI and Diagnostic Center is NOT just an Open MRI center.

We offer other imaging diagnostic testing. These other tests include: X-Ray, Computed Tomography (CT or CAT scanning), Ultrasound, Echocardiography and DEXA (Bone Density). All of our equipment is, “state of the art”, with procedures performed by American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), some with certification is other imaging specialties.

We have set high standards for our Physicians, Radiologic Technologists, and the imaging equipment. MRI and CT are both accredited by the ACR (American College of Radiology) to assure you that we meet the highest imaging standards in image quality.
